HARBORING OF MINOR RUNAWAYS
226.1 HARBOR A RUNAWAY
Whoever does the following shall incur a forfeiture as set forth in Section 2 Penalties:
Knowingly allows, permits, or boards any minor child at his/her residence, property, or place of business where the person knows or should have known the child to be a runaway from his/her parent, guardian, or legal custodian. A runaway is any minor child away from home without permission from his/her parent, legal custodian, or representative of Wood County Social Services.
226.2 PENALTIES
Any person who violates this ordinance shall upon conviction be required to forfeit not less than $50.00 nor more than $200.00, together with the costs of the action, and in default of payment thereof, shall be subject to imprisonment in the Wood County Jail for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days.
