Anne's Tattoos

My first tattoo, Prince Valiant's headThis was my first tattoo, Amie and I went together to have these done. As you can see it was not a very good tattoo.  The guy who did it put the ink so deep it scarred and you can feel the skin is raised on that section, and the quality was not what I expected.  I had it redone by Dave, who gave it better detail and completed the bird's body and added a bit of background.  This is my little cockatiel Prince Valiant.  With this tattoo he will always be with me, sitting on my shoulder.   You can see some photos of Prince Valiant and my other birds at Prince Val's web site.  Doesn't it look great now that it's finished ?!  I am very pleased with it now.

This was my second tattoo.  For this one Dave used the little cartoon kid from the Calvin & Hobbes comic strip and made it look like my son.  Hoss is working on a background for him. He now has a little cool blue truck to play with.  There will be some more background added behind the truck.

My third tattoo is a little tribal band Dave did just below where I put Charles' tattoo.  It's a more subtle color with a heart in the center.

My fourth tattoo was done from matching mother/daughter cameos that I got for Amie and myself.  This tattoo has the names of Amie and her two girls. It was done by Hoss, at Tattoos by Hoss in Schofield.  I love the way this one looks.

Here's my 5th tattoo, the phoenix.  I had it done by a local guy and he used cheap ink and I wasn't very
happy with the quality of his work either.  It faded after only a month and I had him redo it but it faded again.  So then I thought, "I'm not going to have it redone every other month." So I went back to Tattoos by Hoss, (where I should have gone to start with) and Brad not only redid it but we made it bigger and put a sun behind it and gave some depth to the piece.  Brad did a great job and I just love it now!
