Isn't it just Devine

Our Home Page

This is the home page of Steve and Sue Devine. The Devine family also contains two daughters Jen and Gina although they are now grown and have their own lives. Jen married Travis Higgins September 12, 1998 and they live in Weston and just had our first granddaughter Alexandra Marie on Feb. 9, 2000. Gina is a graduate of UW LaCrosse and works in Madison. As you can see Sue and I are very interested in Genealogy. This is a picture of my Great Grandfather and Great Grandmother Graf's 50th wedding anniversary about November of 1913. The wonder of Genealogy is that from the people pictured here hundreds of descendants have been born in just over 80 years. The not so happy couple celebrating are the white haired gentleman without the beard, Joseph Charles Graf, siting just below the top row of people on the porch. His wife with the dark hair is seated next to him, the former Sophie Lehmann. The other old gentleman with the baby on his lap is a mystery to us all. My grandfather Charles and his wife Bernice are seated just in front of them.  With them is my uncle Ray who was the only child born at the time of this picture. If you are interested in more of our family check out our Genealogy home page listed in the links below. We have 5 family trees posted there that are full of our research and family anecdotes.

Personal Interests

Genealogy and work are our two interests. Work will be addressed below but Genealogy is our true passion.  We became interested in the pursuit of our family tree one day when Sue received a copy of a book started on one of her ancestors.  This has led to a passion for knowledge of our collective pasts.  As lifelong citizens of Wisconsin we are fans of the greatest franchise in professional sports history; The Green Bay Packers.  The link below takes you to the home page of my franchise which I can say in all justification as I am now a stockholder in the Packers.  I am also the Recording Secretary of Local 59 of PACE.  If you would like to learn more about the International there is also a link below  to their home page.

Genealogy
The surnames we are tracing are Devine, Naegle, Osweiler, Keaveny, Graf, Lehmann, Enos, Charron, Didier, and Martin on Steve's side.  On Sue's side we are tracing Vannatta or VanEtten, Toulouse, Stelpflug, Glassmaker, Reuter or Reiter, McKelvey, Sedbrook and Koeller.  If you think you are related or are from Grant County Wisconsin, LaCrosse, Wisconsin or Southern Minnesota contact us as you are probably relation somewhere.

Current Projects

Genealogy

We are  currently working on the Vannatta and Toulouse family Files of Grant County Wisconsin and the New York Area rather extensively and since Family tree Maker has come out with a updated version of their program we have been able to extensively use the Internet's resources to add to our knowledge of the family.

We are also working to add pages to this home page with the surnames of some of the early members of our family trees. Follow this link to the SURNAMES PAGES

We are attempting to produce gedcom files on these pages, Click here for searchable pages of the
GRAF FAMILY. and the STELLPHUG FAMILY and the Devine and Related Families.

The Enos Murders

Another current project is the research into the Murders of my Great Great Great Grandfather and mother and one very interesting story. This is the reason we trace Genealogy. Follow this link for the real story.
