<b><i>The Reader of the Word</i></b>

<br>

It is necessary that those who serve as readers be truly qualified and carefully prepared so that the faithful may develop a warm and living love for Scripture from listening to the sacred texts read.

<br><br>

Their preparation must above all be spiritual, but what may be called a technical preparation is also needed. The spiritual preparation presupposes at least a biblical and liturgical formation. The technical preparation should make the reader more skilled in the art of reading publicly in a clear, confident, and concise manner.

<b><i>Extraordinary Ministers of Communion</i></b>

<br>

Those who serve as Extraordinary Ministers of Communion have been called to a most noble ministry. The moment of communion focuses on the Lord Jesus and be a time of the greatest possible reverence. Time taken to reflect on its meaning and practice will deeply enrich their own awareness of the mystery of Christ and the people they serve.

<b><i>Servers</i></b>
<br>
Servers are needed in any liturgical celebration. Their charge is to care for and deal with artifacts and sacred objects and to expedite the role of the celebrant.

<br><br>

<b><i>Musicians</i></b>

<br>

Those who serve as musicians are called to lead the community in the liturgical music, which in itself is a mode of prayer. This means attention both to the integrity of music and to its appropriateness in liturgical celebration.

<br><br>

<b><i>Ushers</i></b>

<br>

The role of the usher is of being the “official” host – one whose presence, conversation and actions speak a genuine desire that all who come to the Liturgy are welcomed, creating an atmosphere conducive to the act of worship, the act where we are most genuinely one.
