Two of these Investigators work out of the Wisconsin Rapids Office and One Investigator works out of the Marshfield Annex Office. The Investigative division is headed by a Lieutenant, who oversees the activities of each Investigator and also oversees the reports and follow-ups that are done by patrol officers.
The other five Investigators work specifically in specialty area's. Those specialty areas are highlighted on the left index of this page. When you view these individual areas, they will help you understand each one of their functions. Each one of these pages will give you information about laws and provide additional links to visit.
We will also provide to you below the yearly statistics of crimes that are reported to the Wood County Sheriff Department and eventually Investigated by one of our Investigators and how much crime cost to the victims involved. Our Investigators recover some of these costs through there investigations.
If you have information about someone who has committed a crime or the whereabouts of some stolen property, please contact the Sheriff's department about this information.
