Project Lifesaver
Project Lifesaver is a rescue program for Wood County's most vulnerable individuals; for both children and adults with cognitive impairments or medical conditions that put them "at risk" to wander away and become lost." Also, this system uses radio frequency technology to track a missing loved one, unlike GPS locaters, Project Lifesaver transmitters are not affected by weather. The transmitters can be worn any where on the person and still provide a transmission.
This is a combined effort with the Wood County Sheriff's Department, Wood County Rescue, Aging and Disability Resource Center, Red Cross.
