Taylor E2 Cub Rebuild Project
Home > E2 Rebuild Introduction

How it all began...

I purchased a partially rebuilt 1933 Taylor E2 Cub in 1965. I finished the rebuild and flew it for several years. Wanting to improve the plane even more, I rebuilt it again in the 1980s. At the 1989 EAA Fly-in in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, the plane was badly damaged when another plane flew into my E2 while I was taxiing. I was lucky to survive the accident with only bruises and broken ribs.

This brings us to the present and my decision to once again rebuild the plane yet another time. Below are photos and descriptions of the of the plane at the start of the project as well as links to the project in process.
