November 1997
The Spook Campout was the outing this month. It was at Wildcat Mound, the one just south of Highway 10 west of Neillsville. Saturday started with some exploring of Wildcat's high places. Then in the afternoon the younger boys worked on their orienteering skills. The swamp acted like a magnet drawing the boys closer and closer during their skills test. A few even got wet feet. The evening ended around the campfire with some story telling. The swamp had a glow over it that night which some believe were the old Indian spirits. We also were wondering what would happen if the swamp gas came up during the night to where we had our tents pitched. All made it home safly.
Sorry, no pictures this month.
